Newtown-Ezbie Moiloa is a song writer, singer, producer, musical pianist and a composer. Moila is a product of Motshioa Township in Mafikeng and has travelled extensive around the world. His latest project was the musical show tittled “The songs of migration” featuring Hugh Masikela and Sibongile Khumalo with ended last Sunday. Moiloa was the pianist and musical director in the show playing throughout the 43 songs for two hours.

Moiloa moved to Gauteng in 1995 in search of greener pastures.

“In 1998 I joined Hugh Masikela and toured the world with him. I wrote the song called After tears for “Bra Hugh” as he is popularly know, Mme Motswadi for Judith Sephuma, Ntate and Bhabhalazi for Tshepo Tshola, Corlea Botha`s take me to Soweto and all Motsweding FM jingles amongst others” said a dilated Moiloa just before the show.

Moiloa is a married man and the father of two girls, Retlametswe (7) and Tshegofatso is one year and seven months old. He is a typical African man and loves African cuisine.

Moiloa is willing to give back in North West but complains about the political set-up in the province which he says makes it difficult.

“I appreciated the efforts done by President Zuma recently to meet with artist. The outcome is satisfactory. Now the Radio stations and Television are playing our music more often. I guess things will be better for our kids now that the president took the initiative” concluded Moiloa.

Moiloa`s latest album is sub- titled “Ezbie love songs” written in Setswana.
